Today I bring you an idea to decorate this Christmas: to make angels with rope and burlap.
Well, they are very easy to make and the materials used cannot be more economical. We need:
Two pieces of polystyrene, one in the shape of a cone and a ball.
A roll of pita rope.
A piece of burlap and a piece of lace.
Scissors and a small hot-melt glue gun. (Be careful with the big guns, they can heat up the glue too much and burn the pieces of polystyrene).
The first step is to join the two pieces of polystyrene. To do this, with the help of the scissors, we make a hole in the ball that allows us to insert it into the tip of the cone. We apply some hot-melt glue in the hole so that the two pieces stick together.
Then we start to glue the string over the cone until it is completely covered. We start to cover from the joint of the two pieces to the base of the cone. Then we cover the ball, starting from the joint and ending at the top.
Cut two pieces of burlap for the sleeves and a heart that glued to the back will form the wings of the angel. We finish the sleeves with some pieces of lace. Slightly curl a piece of lace to form the ruffle that we will place around the neck.
Glue the sleeves to the figure. First from the top, under the angel’s head and then from the front, leaving them slightly separated from the body. Then we hold the ruffle on the neck and finally we glue the burlap heart on the back.
And they’re done! All that’s left to do is to decide where in the house we’re going to put them.
